Accessing GMAS: Security Information for All Users

Client Services is the Harvard department that handles the process of assigning security to GMAS. Authorized Requestors in each Tub communicate with Client Services to coordinate the security authorization for each user; this includes awarding first-time access to new users as well as transfers and terminations.

For transferred users with GMAS access, Client Services runs a process on the first day of every month. Primary Authorized Requestors will receive an email if a user is transferring from their department. Authorized Requestors are expected to respond to the email if a user needs to retain their access; no response will imply an OK to remove the user's access.

For terminated users with GMAS access, Client Services runs a process every Monday. Authorized Requestors are not notified when a terminated user's access is removed.
