Release Notes

The March 2022 GMAS release will be available as of the start of business on Monday, March 21st 2022. The focus of this release includes enhancements to support the process of tracking whether a project has participant support costs and implementing the research team panels to continuation and supplement requests. Additional enhancements include updates to transaction monitoring, some modifications to the Just-in-time request, as well as bug fixes and technical changes.

 

Enhancements

Participation support costs

  • Added a new account type for participant support costs.
    • Listed as either “Participant support costs” or “PSC”.
  • A new attribute question asking if a project has Participant support costs has been added.
    • Added to segment revision attribute questions.
    • Added to continuation/supplement request guided steps.
    • Added to initial/competing renewal attribute questions.
  • Participant support costs will display in the key info section on the segment home screen and initial/competing renewal proposal screens.

Transaction Monitoring

  • Adjusted transaction monitoring rules for specific object codes.
  • Excluded Overhead and Fringe from Transaction Monitoring.
  • Fixed an issue where Transaction monitoring was creating false alerts for "Unapproved human subject charges".

Research team

  • Updated the order that research members appear within the research team panel.
  • Removed adding research team members from request guided steps on supplements.
  • Added a new screen on Continuation and Supplements to add/edit/delete research team members.
    • This new screen can be accessed by selecting “Research staff” on the request home.
    • This new screen utilizes the research team panel  and its functionalities to modify the request’s research.
  • Any changes made to a research team on a continuation/supplement will be applied when the request has been awarded.

 

Just-in-time

  • Adjusted the auto request closeout to not close segments with a Just-in-time request.
  • Updated segment closeout validations on the segment home to ignore submitted Just-in-time requests.
  • Just-in-time requests that are in a “Submitted to sponsor” status will not appear on the request dashboard.
  • Just-in-time requests that are in a “Submitted to sponsor” status will not appear on the work-in-progress panel.

Other

  • Fixed an issue where the request dashboard was failing to load billing agreement requests after deleting requests.
  • Update status summary language for awarded requests.
    • Applied to: confirm research team, edit research team, cost sharing, international collaboration and activities, and just-in-time requests.
  • The related action memo section will only display if a request has related action memos.
  • Signature panels will only display if the request requires signatures.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where editing GL budgets would cause unhandled exception.
  • Fixed an issue where submission instructions were auto-populating on Just-in-time requests from the Initial proposal.
  • Fixed an issue where certain request types were pulling information from the initial proposal instead of from the segment.

Technical changes

  • A fix to Sonarqube was performed.
  • Updated velocity to velocity-engine-core-2.3.
  • Updated API keys for person API & ESTR-search-service.
  • Removed obsolete param configurations.
