May 2023 GMAS Release

May 2, 2023

The May 2023 release will be available on Friday, May 19th, 2023. The goals for this release were to provide further enhancements and bug fixes related to subagreements, provide the ability to communicate directly in the application and to continue to work on technical upgrades.

Updates were made in the following areas:

Enhancements

  • Added ability to tag individuals and send notifications from comments
  • Created a new account type called paid obligations
  • Updated Person profile to show HTP data on faculty disclosure training
  • Updated timestamps on proposal home
    • Timestamp added to locked and routed language
    • Date due to central now displays after lock and route
  • Removed ability to add new TBD to research team
  • GMAS to-dos will be sent to the Research Administration Portal
    • Updated to-do names in GMAS for use in the Portal
  • Within Financial deliverables – removed disable rule on "Submit for review" button when organization payment data is missing

 

Additional sub enhancements​:

  • Added a notification option to rollback modal
  • Updated sub dashboard​ to show counts when filtered
  • Fixed sub dashboard to show awarded PI
  • Added a footer to notifications
  • Changes to subagreement/subamendment dates and dollars:
    • Changed from modal to screen
    • Added anticipated and carryforward
    • Added a change row to indicate updates for amendment
    • Created flexibility in budget period structure to allow for overlap or gaps in budget periods
  • Changed wording on delete and edit buttons from sub home screen to say subrecipient instead of subagreement
  • Changed wording on subamendment attributes modal to clarify action being taken
  • Added a summary of prior amendments on subamendment homepage
  • Changed the Sub home page updated to include view of current sub budget
  • Removed old sub contact in request guided steps for supplement request
  • Added ability for super users to fix signature dates after full execution
  • Pending amendments now display for all sub statuses in Work in Progress section of segment homepage
  • Made adjustment on edit priority modal to validate field correctly

 

Bug fixes including:

  • Fixed signature dates to display correctly on subamendments after revisions
  • Fixed bug to prevent duplicate updates from different users at same time
  • Fixed filtering on the Financial dashboard
  • Fixed revise to resubmit button so that the button is disabled when a notice is logged against existing request version
  • Fixed a bug to allow draft subagreement to do to complete correctly
  • Fixed bug preventing new orgs from being added to tub wide and university wide standing teams
  • Fixed bug in Document repository when deleting a Sub that had a document associated to it
  • Fixed some display issues on subagreement screens related to labels and fields
  • Fixed anticipated end date on sub home to display correctly when in sponsor approved, sub pending status
  • Fixed bug where double clicking was generating duplicate amendments
  • Fixed “University wide coverage” label from appearing in wrong location

 

 

Technical upgrades

  • BIP migration changes/updates to new instance
  • Dropped sub contacts table no longer needed after sub release
  • Dropped fully execute and date sent to subrecipient columns from amendment tables (data now stored in histories)
  • Validated DB on EC2/RHL upgrade 
  • Upgraded OJDBC.jar to ojdbc8 with version 19.3.0.0
  • Fixed research team nonmember costing distribution SQL
  • Updated ras-gmas has dependabot alerts, 1 critical and 2 high
  • Provided alternate to HTML for text templates in admin module
  • Manage school specific questions admin module fix to allow for adding additional questions
  • Software upgrade: upgrade  slf4j log4j2 to the latest version
  • Change to OAIR Get update job to skip updates for deleted approvals
