We would like to thank everyone who participated in the GMAS 2.0 Survey and for providing feedback on the July release – more than 80 respondents! The survey allowed us to prepare for future releases by understanding the best ways to communicate with users and the perception of the navigational changes. As a result of the survey, the project team has identified system improvements that will be implemented as early as the December release. For example, following the December release, the white space on converted screens will be reduced, and the GMAS system will accommodate narrower browser widths, making the screen layout more fluid.
The survey highlighted that:
- 76% of respondents felt the changes were easy to navigate.
- Almost 70% of respondents are looking forward to future changes.
- More than 65 respondents (78%) felt informed about the changes to the GMAS system.
- The most effective forms of communication for July release were email distribution (52%), department/ tub contacts (48%), and the GMAS homepage (32%.)
Below are some of the key themes that we gathered from the survey as well as plans for how to move forward to better meet the needs of the GMAS users.
