The April 2016 Grants Management Application Suite (GMAS) release will be available to users on Monday, April 11, 2016. This regularly scheduled release is the third official release in support of the GMAS 2.0 project.
Please note: GMAS will be unavailable to users from 9:00PM EST on Friday, April 8, 2016 through the start of business at 9:00AM EST on Monday, April 11, 2016.
Highlighted features of this release:
Added support for NIH FORMS-D transition. GMAS supports Grants.gov system to system (S2S) submission for the following new forms:
- PHS 398 Research Plan version 3.0
- PHS 398 Cover Page Supplement version 3.0
- PHS 398 Career Development Award Supplemental Form version 3.0
- PHS Inclusion Enrollment Report version 1.0
- PHS Assignment Request Form version 1.0
The release also delivered 5 converted screens. All new screens will have the updated look and feel as well as the optimized backend technology.

In response to user feedback, enhancements have been introduced such as:
- Segment home displays “Authorized” instead of “Obligated” amount
- Research team confirmation status is now listed on the Research Team page
- Segment home “more details”/”less details” can now be set as a user preference
- Locked segment revisions now show the user who owns the lock in the tooltip.
- Project id now shows in the top part of the segment home project snapshot for pending projects.
- Improved performance of the Request homepage
